Introduction
One day a person is ‘one of the team’ and the next day he can be a supervisor of the team. To perform this role effectively and get results through other people requires a new range of skills.
This course, which helps participants to make the transition from team member to an efficient and respected supervisor, covers all the important areas a supervisor has to cope with.

Who Should Attend
First line managers, supervisors or team leaders new to the role of supervision, or for anyone who is considering taking on or applying for a new position that requires supervision of others.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
• To provide supervisors with the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours to increase their effectiveness in their current roles.
• To equip supervisors with the managerial skills necessary for them to adapt to changing demands in the future.
• To improve succession planning by providing a structured development program which will enable supervisors to fulfil their potential within the company.

- Gain an awareness of their management style, with its strengths and weaknesses
- Manage their time to meet objectives
- Gain the trust and support of colleagues/team

- Minimize and handle conflict
- Develop assertive behaviour rather than being passive or aggressive
- How to deal with issues, instead of emotions in an assertive confrontation
- The various approaches to deal with conflict and why our actions affect others behaviour (Transactional Analysis).
